Workshop on Design Thinking, Critical Thinking & Innovation Design | IIC 8.0 – Quarter II | NHCE

NHCE IIC, in association with the Information Science and Engineering Department, successfully organised a workshop on Design Thinking, Critical Thinking, and Innovation Design on 25 February 2026. The resource person for the session was Mr Gangadhar I, Technical Lead at Vtricks Technologies. The programme aimed to equip participants with structured problem-solving approaches and creative skills relevant to the modern digital era.

The workshop focused on enhancing critical thinking through logical analysis, reflective questioning, and evidence-based decision-making. Participants adopted a human-centred design mindset to better understand user needs and develop impactful solutions. Innovation frameworks and vibe coding practices enabled them to rapidly convert ideas into functional prototypes.

The session also encouraged collaboration, communication, and teamwork through group discussions and project-based activities. Learners strengthened their creativity, strategic thinking, adaptability, and presentation skills, preparing them to address both academic and industry challenges.

Key outputs were evaluated through clear performance indicators, including problem identification, solution structuring, and prototype validation. Several projects progressed through different Technology Readiness Levels, with top-performing teams recognised as Quantum X finalists, receiving opportunities for mentoring and incubation support.
