Android Hands-on Workshop
We the department of Information Science and Engineering has conducted Workshop on the “Android App Development” for the 5 th semester students on 29 st August, 2018 under the supervision of Head of the Department, Dr. Anandhi R J at ISE department Lab-4. The expert speaker, Mr.Ansari was invited to conduct the same.
About the Speaker
Speaker, Mr.Ansari, with 14+ years of experience in the IT industry and engineering, involved in training and development on different technologies like PHP & MySQL and Java. Imparted Japan, Arab, China and India.
Objectives of Workshop
- To get familiarized with Java programming for android application development.
- Learn how to build and deploy Android applications.
- To understand the working of application, application lifecycle, configuration files, intents, and activities.
- To gain knowledge about UI – components, layouts.
- Event handling, and screen orientation. To develop a working knowledge of the custom UI elements and positioning.
Participants showed keen interest in learning the concepts, methodologies and gave satisfactory feedback at the end of the session. They also suggested that the duration of the session could be increased so that they may explore in the same.
