SecureLinks – Workshop on Cryptocurrencies and Smart Contracts by i-CSEH
“SecureLinks- Workshop on Cryptocurrencies and Smart Contracts” was organized on the 08th February 2020 by i-CSEH (Cyber Security and Ethical Hacking Club) of the Information Science and Engineering Department in collaboration with Nvest Labs, Nvest Group of Companies.
With the technology trend shift in crypto currencies, Blockchain has become an inevitable part of the ecommerce ecosystem. Ethereum , open source player in Blockchain is a technology which is the industry demand. The workshop was organized to bridge this gap and the hands-on experience with Ethereum crypto currencies and smart contacts demonstrated the real time transaction implementation of same.
Nvest is an American multinational financial technology holding company and cryptobank headquartered in New York City. The company focuses on incubating and investing into emerging technology within the financial services industry. The company was founded on December 2nd 2017 by Mr. Shorupan Pirkaspathy.
Mr. Shorupan Pirkaspathy is the Chief Executive Officer of the Nvest Group of Companies and the Global Exchange Company. He is 23 years old and has become a great inspiration for many youngsters today.
The Nvest Labs were started in the year 2019 in Bangalore and headed by Mr. Sharath Krishna, CEO Nvest Labs.
The speakers for the day were Mr. Shorupan Pirkaspathy, CEO Nvest Group of Companies, Mr. Sharath Krishna, CEO of Nvest Labs and Ramesh Gopal blockchain instructor at Nvest Labs. The session was held for the students of the final semester in the VMware Labs, ISE Department and commenced at 10AM. Mr. Shorupan Pirkaspathy gave the students an insight about the company, its history, the current state of the blockchain industry and future advancements. Mr. Ramesh Gopal, blockchain instructor at Nvest labs has 9 years of experience in various industries and he gave the students a thorough understanding on the usage of ethereum blockchain and DLT.
The session was interesting and insightful to the students. It gave the students a glimpse of the trending technologies. The session exhibited live demonstration on Ethereum blockchain by Mr. Ramesh Gopal. Resource person explained the application of javascript in Blockchain framework of Ethererum and students created smart contracts as projects. With the hands-on workshop, students ripped the full benefits and understood the blockchain concept.
