Workshop on Cloud Services & Security
The Department of Information Science and Engineering (ISE) organized a workshop on “Cloud Services & Security” on October 15, 2024. The session was led by Mr. Venkatramanan Vijayan, Security Architect at IBM Systems Development Lab, Bangalore, who provided an in-depth exploration of cloud computing and the essential security considerations tied to it.
The workshop began with an overview of cloud services, focusing on the different types such as Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS). He explained their significance in delivering computing resources, platforms for application development, and software over the Internet. The session concluded with an interactive Q&A, where students engaged with the speaker on topics such as improving communication skills and presenting technical projects effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences. The workshop was highly informative, offering students valuable insights and practical guidance to enhance their professional impact in the tech industry.
