Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC)

On 21st August 2025, NHCE IIC, in collaboration with the Department of Information Science and Engineering, successfully conducted an IIC calendar activity—a workshop titled “Innovation/Prototype Validation – Converting Innovation into a Start-up.” The session was led by Mr. Siva Balan, Data Integration Specialist at NTT Data, who shared valuable industry insights with the participants.

The workshop was designed to empower students, inventors, and early-stage entrepreneurs with the essential knowledge and practical skills required to transform innovative ideas into viable and profitable start-ups. It emphasized the importance of prototype development, testing, and validation to assess both feasibility and market relevance.

Throughout the session, participants gained a deeper understanding of funding avenues and the significance of intellectual property protection. They were introduced to various mechanisms that support start-up growth, including incubation and acceleration programs. Additionally, the workshop focused on refining pitching and presentation techniques, enabling attendees to confidently showcase their innovations to potential stakeholders and investors.

The event served as a dynamic platform for aspiring innovators to bridge the gap between concept and commercialization.
