CO CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
Inauguration of the IEEE Information Theory Society (ITSoc) Student Chapter
New Horizon College of Engineering (NHCE), through its Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), in association with the Department of Information Science and Engineering, organized a workshop titled “Using AI for Fundraising & Investor Pitch Preparation” on 25th August 2026. The workshop was conducted as an IIC activity under the thrust area of Prototype, Design and Business Model Development. The programme was conducted in offline mode at C-506 from 09:30 AM to 12:00 PM. The activity was designed to provide students with practical exposure to the role of Artificial Intelligence in entrepreneurial activities, particularly in the preparation, structuring and communication of ideas intended for fundraising and investor presentations. The session brought together students and faculty members in an interactive academic environment where technology, innovation and entrepreneurship were connected through a practical workshop format.
The workshop focused on the growing relevance of Artificial Intelligence as a support tool for students and aspiring innovators who need to communicate their ideas effectively in entrepreneurial and business contexts. The session introduced participants to AI-assisted approaches for organizing business ideas, refining communication, developing persuasive pitch content and articulating the value proposition of an innovative solution. Particular emphasis was placed on understanding how a well-structured investor pitch can communicate an idea with greater clarity and purpose. The workshop also encouraged participants to look at AI not simply as a technological concept, but as a practical support mechanism that can assist in transforming an initial idea into a more organized and presentable business proposal. Through the session, students were encouraged to think about how technology can support innovation, entrepreneurship, business communication and problem-solving.
